Very tough test VS. Iberostar Tenerife to try to close the week in a big way

Just 42 hours after the huge effort for the comeback vs. Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, Valencia Basket returns to the Endesa League after two weeks without national competition to close its three-games week at La Fonteta hosting Iberostar Tenerife (Sunday 22, 5:00 p.m., Fonteta, Movistar Deportes 1) in a game corresponding to round 12.

 

The taronja team hopes that the moral boost of the two wins in the double European round outweighs the accumulated wear to face one of the strongest teams in the championship at this start. The taronja squad has the precedents on its side, hosting an opponent that has lost at Fonteta in its last nine visits.

 

With Sam Van Rossom already recovered, Valencia Basket will maintain the absences of its two long-term injuries: Vanja Marinkovic (acute shoulder dislocation with a disinsertion of the biceps tendon associated) and Joan Sastre (who continues to recover from the partial tear in the internal lateral ligament of the right knee that was done on October 1). The taronja team arrives at this 12th round of the Endesa League in eleventh position, with 4-5 in the standings.
